Tyler graduated from the well-respected Masters of Physical Therapy program at the University of Western Ontario. This program was a natural progression for him following the completion of his undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Tyler worked as a student athletic trainer at the UBC Sports Medicine clinic, working alongside Physiotherapists, Athletic Therapists, Sport-Medicine Doctors in their treatment of athletes.
Tyler played seven seasons in the BC Soccer Premier League and was the recipient of the BCSPL Player of the Year Scholarship in his graduating year. He went on to play four years for UBC Okanagan Men’s Heat Varsity Soccer Team while achieving CIS Academic All-Canadian Athlete status. Growing up in Kelowna, Tyler is also an avid skier, golfer, and cyclist.
He has successfully completed his level one manual therapy exam with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and will continue pursuing his FCAMPT designation. Lauren’s interest in kinesiology stemmed from her background in competitive ballet, tap, and modern dance. Kent Butler grew up in Kamloops and pursued the sciences at the University of Calgary. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree with honours from the California College Of Podiatric Medicine in 1987. His education continued with a one year surgical residency followed by a one year biomechanics fellowship at the Pacific Coast Hospital in San Francisco. This was the only biomechanics residency offered in North America.
